Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Taris system was home to the planet of Taris and the star of the same name. It was located in the Outer Rim's Ojoster sector, Taris sub-sector. The system achieved prosperity through its location along the Mandalorian Road, but the development of the Hydian Way rendered it insignificant. Inside Taris' orbit was located an asteroid field, including the Rogue Moon.
