The Hexagon was a Rebel Alliance term used to refer to an area of space situated along the border of the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim Territories. During the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance and the Galactic Empire, the region was a hotspot of Rebel activity. Under the direction of its owner and Rebel sympathizer Meysen Kayson, the Greel Wood Logging Corporation, which ran highly profitable greel tree–logging operations in the Arkanis sector's Pii system, diverted significant funds to many Alliance operations in the Hexagon.
