The ThonBoka, also known as the ThonBoka Nebula, was a sack-shaped nebula in the Centrality full of gases, organic molecules, carapace-creatures and interstellar plankton. Its name translated into Basic as "StarCave Nebula." It was home to the sentient Oswaft species, a vacuum-dwelling race that had a unique natural ability to make hyperspace jumps. The isolated location of the ThonBoka ensured the Oswaft lived in near-total obscurity until the Imperial Era, when the Galactic Empire learned of their existence and came to see the pacifistic species as a threat. The Empire blockaded the ThonBoka in 3 BBY, attempting to starve the Oswaft into extinction, although it was eventually forced to retreat.
