Alpha Three was a callsign used by pilots in a squadron. By 4 ABY during the Galactic Civil War, the Imperial Starfighter Corps's Alpha Flight Group assigned the callsign to a female TIE fighter pilot. When the Galactic Empire dissolved in 5 ABY, the callsign was retired. Later in 35 ABY,, the Resistance utilized it in their Resistance Starfighter Corps during the war with the First Order. A pilot flew under the callsign Alpha Three with the Exegol air team in the climatic Battle of Exegol, during which the pilot was shot down and killed.
