An astronomer was a profession in which an individual mapped the galaxy and studied space. Around 9 ABY, astronomer Kh'ymm—who worked from the Observatory Moon—claimed to have in her archives maps of every star in the galaxy, as well as hyperspace routes between them. The astronomers of the Tah'Nuhna charted the cosmos. One ancient astronomer, Harkrova, discovered a star system, which was named the Harkrova system after its discoverer.
