Bubse tree

The bubse tree was a common bulbous tree found on the surface of the Outer Rim planet Saleucami. The plant was well known for the miraculous medicinal properties of its roots. Saleucami's capital city, Taleucema, had the planet's only mass production of the tree, and the roots were the city's main export. Bubse roots were bought in high prices by aesthetes of the Zealots of Psusan, a female-empowering religious cult. The root was also used illicitly in the concentrated anesthetic bubse spice, which had the ability to make individuals to become numb physically and mentally.

Saleucami's Paradise cantina had doors crafted from the wood of bubse trees. At some point during the reign of the Galactic Empire, which formed in 19 BBY, the aging former pirate Graf Lind often carried a polished bubse wood cane, as his inexpensive prosthetic leg made him walk with a limp.
