Carsunum was a spice variant that the smuggler Platt Okeefe recommended as a profitable cargo in the pirate Maz Kanata's Smuggler's Guide. Okeefe warned against trafficking variants such a ryll or the strains of spice mined on Kessel, and suggested that smugglers stick to variants like carsunum, andris, and sansanna spice.
