Colu's syndrome was a rare, yet extremely deadly cancer that strangely only affected the descendants of the survivors of the Destruction of Taris. In 3643 BBY, the medical doctor Synoda asked a Galactic Republic allied individual to enter Dynamet General Hospital in order to download patient records. The individual managed to do so, and was able to deliver the data and research to Synoda in order to find a possible cure.
