Fried pom-cake

Fried pom-cake was a type of cake that was golden in color and edible by humans and Iktotchi. In 228 BBY, the humans Jordanna Sparkburn and Sylvestri Yarrow invited Jedi Master Mirro Lox and his Padawan, Amadeo Azzazzo, to a meal at the canteen on the Republic Defense Coalition mobile launch and repair station to discuss their friend Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh and the Stormwall, a barrier created by the Nihil marauders that prevented travel through hyperspace. During the meal, Pop Teeno, the Iktotchi who ran the canteen, served the group fried pom-cakes with spider seed and scale flakes from Ithorian cactuses, which he said added a delicate flavor and went well with the fluff of the cake. Sparkburn began eating her cake, which was hot enough to burn her upper palate, immediately after being served, while Azzazzo focused on pulling apart one of the seedpods that had been fried into his cake.
