Galukk

Canon Linked from 1 article

Galukk was a beverage. The Pkorian Feyra Akaris, who had been given up to be raised by the Jedi at the age of three, suffered from depression instigated by culture shock upon returning home to her family on the planet Pkori. One way she coped was by drinking galukk, in amounts considered excessive by her mother Beamala. Upon conceiving a daughter, Feyra gave up the galukk and other reckless habits; however, her child, Iskat, soon demonstrated Force-sensitivity and Feyra chose to give her up to the Jedi Order. Shortly thereafter, Feyra disappeared, having only spent two years reacquainting with her family.

Sometime between 19 BBY and 18 BBY, Iskat returned to Pkori in search of information about Feyra, knowing very little about her mother. Beamala, the family matriarch, recounted what she knew about Feyra's return to Pkori, including her consumption of galukk and eventual disappearance.
