Halurium was a substance with a grain form that could be used as an energy source when it was pressure-treated. Around the year 18 BBY, a Jedi Knight named Jax Pavan attempted to obtain a lightsaber crystal from one of Baron Vlaçan Umber's Ves Volette light sculptures, suggesting that the baron could use pressure-treated halurium grains as a replacement power source. However, Umber angrily denied Pavan's request, since removing a crystal from one of the light sculptures would destroy it.
