Jedi Military Integration Act

Canon Linked from 3 articles

The Jedi Military Integration Act was an act passed in the Galactic Senate in 22 BBY during the Clone Wars that officially put the Jedi Order in command of the Grand Army of the Republic. Jedi Knights and Masters were formally granted the rank of Jedi General, and Jedi Padawans were granted the rank of Jedi Commander.

The passage of the act escalated the involvement from both sides of the war. The increased militarization of the Galactic Republic was answered with an increase in activity from the Confederacy of Independent Systems, causing more conflicts all across the galaxy. The further involvement of the Jedi on the front lines of battle led some Jedi to incorporate armor into their robes.
