Kand

The kand was a type of tree with nutritious edible fruit that was found on Dorin, a dark and dusty planet of mountains, plateaus, and valleys located in the Expansion Region's Deadalis sector. Dorin had a highly stormy atmosphere composed of helium and another, unique gas. Members of the planet's native Kel Dor species eventually adopted the tree's name as a family name.
