King moss

King moss was a species of photosynthetic moss native to the Mid Rim planet Goroth Prime. As with all mosses found on Goroth, they contained small concentrations of hyperbarides which they absorbed from the rocks they grew on. The presence of these toxins, which were also absorbed into the creatures that preyed upon them, made the life on the planet poisonous to eat for off-world species. The king moss produced seed pods, which were the favorite food of the native b'karri. These pods were bright yellow, which the b'karri were attracted to. The seeds within the pods had a hard outer coating that was stripped away by the digestive juices of the b'karr. The creature would then expel the undigestible seeds which would quickly sprout and create a new colony of king moss.
