The power to build with kyber crystals was a rare Force power known only to the Jedi Master Baird Kantoo who used the power to forge the Kyber Saber. He locked the secret away in a holocron inside a temple on an planet. Rowan Freemaker eventually found the holocron after passing the challenges of the temple and after he learned the power from the holocron used it to forge the kyber crystal necessary for his starship the Arrowhead.
