Lanthanide was an ultra-dense type of crystal used to enhance the defensiveness of equipment. A lanthanide alloy was used in the construction of the outer skin of ArmaTek VL-61/79 proton bombs and the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic's Chair of Office, with a protective shield. While the crystal form of lanthanide was blue, the alloy used in VL-61/79 proton bomb was silver.
