A lily pad was a type of aquatic plant floating on bodies of water. While some lily pads were closer to the size of regular plant leaves, others could be giant sized. In 228 BBY, the anti-Nihil operative Cair San Tekka sat on a broad ruffled lily pad in the central water garden of the planet Rilias II, where he was preparing to broadcast a message recorded by Jedi Master Avar Kriss. While sitting on the lily pad, San Tekka pretended he could feel the Force connecting him to it.
