Novian rubies were a form of currency from the Novi system used by the Zorbian space pirates. In 3 ABY, when the Zorbians invaded the Ewoks' Bright Tree Village on the Forest Moon of Endor, the Ewok Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka bit the leader of the Zorbians, Krag, who angrily promised a thousand Novian rubies to whoever brought him Kintaka.
