Nunsteyn

Nunsteyn was a type of clear mineralized water crystal that could be found in most parts of the icey planet Kijimi. In its mineral form, it had a snowflake-like structure. Nunsteyn was used to make frostfire crystal shards, supposedly resilience-granting charms consisting of a small shard of nunsteyn hung from a string and imbued with the essence of frostfire also from Kijimi.

In 3 ABY, a unit of nunsteyn minerals worth 240 credits was part of the pot at a Kessel Sabacc table at a bar in Kijimi City on Kijimi where the gamblers Kufu and Fepo were playing. Elsewhere in the city, the smuggler Neva Yaranu had a frostfire crystal shard available to purchase for nine hundred credits.

The thief Kay Vess won the nunsteyn minerals at the sabacc table after defeating Kufu and Fepo while trying to win a holodisc in the pot that contained a map to a vault in Kijimi City used by the smuggler Jet Kordo.
