Ovax gas

Ovax gas was a type of gas which could be used to incapacitate individuals. In 232 BBY, during the High Republic Era, two Nihil pirates—the Aqualish Gwishi and the human Klinith Da—were assigned to sabotage the Star Cruiser Steady Wing in an attempt to strike against the Galactic Republic. As part of their mission, Gwishi took a canister of ovax gas, which he planned to use to immobilize the vessel's mechanics.

After Gwishi and Da arrived at the outpost Port Haileap on the Outer Rim planet Haileap on a cargo hauler, the Aqualish placed the canister of Ovax gas into his tool kit. While he did so, Gwishi mentally noted his intended use of the gas on the Steady Wing mechanics. Not long later, the two Nihil destroyed the vessel.
