Poltur virus was a type of virus. In 228 BBY, when Force-consuming Nameless creatures escaped from containment aboard the Elite-class vessel Innovator, the ship's captain, Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram, created an anesthetic by releasing three decontaminants, including one for poltur virus, through vents in the vessel's lower decks where the Nameless were. The anesthetic caused the Nameless to drowsily amble along until they reached the ship's escape pods, allowing Jomaram to seal them inside.
