Salakberry

Salakberries were a type of berry that could be fermented and combined with pickling spices to make the alcoholic beverage tsiraki, a drink that was potable by humans, Zabraks, Mikkians, and Ewoks. In 5 ABY, the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus drank tsiraki in a Junari Point bar on the planet Chandrila. As Velus considered the taste of his beverage, he recalled that it was made using fermented salakberries.
