Scar of remembrance
Canon Legends version → Linked from 21 articles
The scar of remembrance was a vertical stripe of makeup in the center of the lower lip that symbolized the suffering endured by the Naboo people before the Great Time of Peace. Some queens of Naboo wore it in red as part of their royal makeup, including Padmé Amidala, Jamillia, and Dalné. During the Clone Wars, Neeyutnee painted hers in purple, while Apailana wore blue at Amidala's funeral shortly after the war ended. Sosha Soruna's scar of remembrance was deep red and extended down her chin.
