Serranite was a type of material that was used in paint made by the native Alvadorjians of the planet Ylagia. During his childhood, the Alvadorjian Soujen Vak-Nhalis became familiar with the smell of oil and serranite dust as he worked with his practice palette. In 19 BBY, Vak-Nhalis reminisced on his childhood, recalling the scents of both substances.
