Skulkers was a derogatory nickname for snipers, used by soldiers around the time of the Great Galactic War, such as Zeerid Korr, a former commando pilot with the Galactic Republic. The term may have been particularly applied to members of the elite Imperial sniper corps in the opposing Sith army.
The sniper Vrath Xizor regarded the name as an insult.
