Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

Soups were a food item served in liquid form, sometimes alongside salads or meats. They could be thickened for a better taste. It was also used as a metaphor for a particularly thick atmosphere.

Two types of Mandalorian soups included gi dumpling and red gourd soups, and both were served at a cantina in the town of Enceri on Mandalore.

Zao would often cook soup, and had a recipe for a cold melon soup.

The Sith species traditionally consumed a type of soup called bloodsoup. ~28,000 BBY, Adas consumed the bloodsoup of his enemies and in 1000 BBY, Githany offered bloodsoup to Darth Bane after unsuccessfully trying to poison him.
