Sweetpond clematis was a type of purple plant. During the High Republic Era, the library of the San Tekka manor on the planet Coruscant kept some of the clematis between two curved ladders. In 228 BBY, Jedi Master Avar Kriss visited the library, taking note of the vegetation there, including the sweetpond clematis.
