The Sword and Shield maneuver was a battle tactic used by the Galactic Republic, specifically members of the Jedi in tandem with clone troopers, during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The tactic was used to scatter enemy battle droids. Even after the war's end, it was used by Clone Captain Rex, Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, and Padawan Ezra Bridger in 2 BBY during a battle on the planet Agamar.
