Varos

Varos was a species of fruit native to the planet Mandalore. Varos grew in the Outer Rim world's warm tropic region, and were known for their velvety aroma when ripe. They were among one of many varied fruits that Mandalorians used to distill the alcoholic beverage tihaar.

The Mandalorian soldier Kal Skirata enjoyed both the smell of varos, and the blend of tihaar that could be distilled from the fruit. Due to their growth in Mandalore's tropic region, Skirata viewed finding varos-distilled tihaar in the northern reaches of the planet to be a rare treat.
