Wrendui was a subtle body language of the Bothans, created by their fur shifting in response to their emotional state by way of gentle ripplings. Bothan spies used mastery of this response in order to communicate covertly.
It was polite to ripple the fur when communicating with someone; some unsocial Bothans forgot to do so, and were considered "rude" by others.
