"An Examination and Exploration of a Most Dangerous and Resilient Organism" was an academic paper written by Doctor Osaf Hamud about the little-known orbalisk, a dangerous parasite. At some point between 993 BBY and 983 BBY, Sith apprentice Darth Zannah, disguised as a Jedi, found the document in the Jedi Temple Archives on the planet Coruscant while searching for a way for her Master, Darth Bane, to remove the orbalisks attached to his body. The paper described the medical procedure by which orbalisks could be removed as well as more general information on the parasites.
