"Bookshelf", written by Jason Fry, was a department in Star Wars Insider magazine. It showcased both new and classic works of Star Wars literature, including novels, young adult novels, and reference books, and it frequently included excerpts from interviews with authors.
The column was first featured in Star Wars Insider 44 under the title Star Wars Bookshelf, with "Star Wars" dropped from its title from Issue 50 onwards. Initially, the column appeared in every other issue of Insider, rotating with a comics column called "Straight from the Horse's Mouth."
"Bookshelf" was renamed "Jedi Library" with Issue 77 as part of IDG Entertainment's overhaul of the magazine.
