Dinwa Prime Firing-Range Directive

Canon Linked from 3 articles

The Dinwa Prime Firing-Range Directive was a directive that made the planet Dinwa Prime into a firing-range for the Galactic Empire's navy as a collective punishment after its planetary governor was killed in 6 BBY by what Imperial officials claimed was a rebel sponsored by the local community. As a result of the directive, Imperial naval ships that passed along the nearby Hydian Way hyperspace route often stopped at Dinwa Prime to test and synchronize their weapons or allow TIE pilots to practice bombing runs. Over time, the planet was left in ruins. The directive was stored in the "Reprisal Activities" section of the Imperial Archives and was cited by the historian Beaumont Kin in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire in 35 ABY, when he mentioned various atrocities committed by the Empire. Kin believed that Dinwa Prime had suffered worse than many other worlds.
