Guts and Glory: A Chronicle of The Amazing Story of The Twisted Rancor Trio was a book being written by Gilthos Uksaris about the exploits of the jatz band The Twisted Rancor Trio, which found popularity on its homeworld of Taris during the Jedi Civil War. As the band's manager and founder, Uksaris compiled the book to chronicle The Twisted Rancor Trio's entire history, even as it was happening. The book covered the band's humble beginnings and eventual rise to prominence, as the trio eventually attracted the favor of crime lord Davik Kang of the Exchange.
The amnesiac former Dark Lord of the Sith Revan discovered a draft of Uksaris's memoir in one of the Lower City Apartments on Taris while stranded on the planet shortly before its destruction by the Sith Empire. With the aid of the draft, Revan uncovered the passcode needed to deactivate a holographic security system guarding a crate in the apartment, allowing him to retrieve the package's contents.
