Halfback's Bluff

Halfback's Bluff was a popular game on the planet Pantolomin. Popular among casual gamblers it was played by travelers aboard the Coral Vanda, or from any other ship of in shallow waters near a casino. The game involved releasing a colorful object into the ocean whenever the cruise liner encountered a school of Pantolomin halfbacks. Bets were placed on which halfback would then take that trinket back to their lair. If the creatures wrestled amongst themselves without any of them taking the trinket for over ten minutes, then the bets were canceled and all money collected by the house. Because of this, corrupt casinos and criminal organizations began to rig the game by ensuring that the halfbacks were unable to find the trinket.
