Jakku Spy is an interactive virtual reality experience, designed for the Star Wars App by Lucasfilm's immersive entertainment studio ILMxLAB. It features levels of being a spy on the planet of Jakku. Following you through your missions is BB-8, an astromech droid. There are a total of 10 missions to complete. None of the missions require any touching and only need the player to turn their phone to explore Jakku. The feature ties directly into Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, but is not considered canon.

The features was released prior to The Force Awakens, and as a promotion, players could get Google Cardboard from Verizon stores to experience the full VR effect.
