The Mantooine Minuet was a piece of classical dance music, specifically a minuet composition. An innocuous piece of music, it passed review of the Imperial Board of Culture outright and was favored by Galactic Emperor Palpatine. Following the Emperor's death in 4 ABY, Emperor's Hand Mara Jade was captured by Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard. Upon interrogation, Jade, who had identified herself as a dancer in the Imperial court, claimed that the Emperor enjoyed the Mantooine Minuet as a way of appearing obtuse about her real role. Mantooine Minuet shared its name with the planet Mantooine.
