Resource Extraction

Resource Extraction was a file in the "Imperial Occupation" section of the Post-Imperial Lothal Archives that detailed the ecological and environmental damage caused to the Outer Rim planet Lothal during the reign of the Galactic Empire. The file detailed the Empire’s efforts to extract ore crawlers, dubbed World Devastators by Lothalites, to build its nascent TIE/d "Defender" Multi-Role Starfighter program on Lothal. Another document, Repair and Reconstruction Activities in the "Ecosystem" section of the archives, went into further detail about the damage caused to the planet’s surface and the years of environmental recovery efforts needed to repair the damage to Lothal after it was liberated. These files were referenced by historian Beaumont Kin in history book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, in 35 ABY.
