Rogue One (theme)

Canon Linked from 3 articles

"Rogue One" is a theme composed by Michael Giacchino for the 2016 anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Serving as the leitmotif for the eponymous squad, the track is featured in the film's soundtrack with the pun title "Takes One to Rogue One". Much of the theme are renditions of the trap motif composed by John Williams for the 1983 original trilogy film Return of the Jedi. The trap motif figure is given a full statement in the lead-up to the Battle of Scarif.

The theme is reprised for scenes accompanying future Rogue One members Cassian Jeron Andor and K-2SO in the LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars episode "The Good Stuff!," which was released on October 31, 2018, and composed by Michael Kramer. The track was also used to introduce Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk, the respective actors of Cassian Andor and K-2SO, at D23 Expo 2019 when the pair discussed the upcoming Star Wars: Andor television series.
