Star Wars 3-D 4 was the planned fifth issue of Blackthorne Publishing's comic series Star Wars 3-D, solicited to be released in April 1989. According to a listing in Amazing Heroes, the issues would have been written by Len Wein and John Stephenson, and illustrated by Lorenzo Lizana. Set between the films Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI Return of the Jedi, the issue would have told "Han Solo's version of how he "acquired the Millenium Falcon from Lando Calrissian". The issue would have consisted of 32 "3-D" pages and sold for 2.50 US Dollars. However, Star Wars 3-D 4 and 5 along with the two following solicited issues were never released and, after experiencing huge financial losses in 1989, Blackthorne Publishing closed the following year.
