Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
Canon
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular was a Star Wars-themed fireworks display shown regularly at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. It included fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects, music from the films and video projections on buildings. It ended with a "tower of fire" and spotlight beams, creating a lightsaber in the sky.
The show debuted June 17, 2016, replacing the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show that had been shown in various forms and at certain park events starting in 2010 before a regular run between December 18, 2015, and June 2016. A later version of the new show featuring elements from VIII debuted December 16, 2017, and a January 1, 2020 update included IX.
The show ran until Walt Disney World's closure on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the resort opened later that year the fireworks show did not return. The show's page was finally removed from the resort's website in July 2022.
