Star Wars Monthly

Star Wars Monthly was the fourth iteration of Marvel UK’s Star Wars comic, carrying on (in terms of both contents and issue numbering) from The Empire Strikes Back Monthly, with issue #159.

The series reprinted stories from Marvel Comics' American Star Wars series, along with several original tales: from issue #167, the magazine began reprinting Marvel US' adaptation of another Lucasfilm property, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The final issue, #171, although cover-dated July 1983, was presumably published in early June. Later that month, Marvel UK published the first issue (cover-dated 22 June 1983) of new publication, Return of the Jedi Weekly.
