Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu — The Director's Experience

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu — The Director's Experience is a synchronized audio-only director's commentary track for the 2026 film Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Unlike traditional director's commentary as would be featured in home releases of films and series, this audio commentary from director Jon Favreau was released independently from the film on the mobile application TheaterEars on June 5, 2026. As a TheaterEars-exclusive, the audio track can only be accessed while the listener's mobile device is located within a movie theater in the United States or Canada that is currently playing a showing of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, while the device's microphone can pick up the film audio to synchronize, and only when the user is wearing headphones. Jon Favreau recorded his commentary after the initial release of the film on May 22, 2026.
