The Anthropology of Engineering was a work authored by the Incom Corporation engineer Jo Ewsli. At some point by 0 ABY, Ewsli had designed the I-7 Howlrunner starfighter, which was named after the omnivorous howlrunner creature of the Wild Space planet Kamar. In The Anthropology of Engineering, the engineer, who at one point had visited Kamar, narrated how he had observed a pack of hunting howlrunners from inside a safari dome. In that passage, Ewsli also noted that he had experienced a moment where he felt like a part of the pack, and that he had subsequently strived for his entire life to design a starfighter that would help its pilot recreate the feeling.
