The Trail of Political Consciousness

The untitled journal known to some as The Trail of Political Consciousness, or Nemik's manifesto, was written and voiced by the rebel Karis Nemik. It denounced the Galactic Empire and recounted Nemik's thoughts on Imperial oppression and the cause of rebellion throughout the galaxy. In 5 BBY, Nemik was still writing his manifesto, and searching for a fitting title, while telling such information to Cassian Jeron Andor, who had recently joined Nemik's team of rebels that were planning a heist on the planet Aldhani. Fellow rebel Arvel Skeen was also aware of the work. Following Nemik's death, team leader Vel Sartha gave Andor the manifesto, as Nemik had insisted that Andor have it. After returning to the planet Ferrix following the death of his adoptive mother, Andor listened to the manifesto. Eventually, the manifesto spread throughout the galaxy, something the Empire attempted to prevent but was unable to. By 1 BBY, high-ranking members of the Imperial Security Bureau were unaware of who had created it.
