The 233rd Imperial Fighter Group was an Imperial starfighter wing that fought in the First Battle of Ord Biniir during the Galactic Civil War against the Rebel Alliance by 0 BBY. In the battle, the fighter wing was decimated by a squadron of Rebel Y-wings, with the pilots bragging about their victory. The Empire lost the planet as a result, and they commenced an operation to retake it in response. The effort was successful, and most of the Y-wings were destroyed.
