The Burning Ember was an armored and feared military unit which served the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, a conflict fought between the Confederacy and the Galactic Republic between the years 22 BBY and 19 BBY. During the war, General Gentis of the Republic, alongside seventy clone troopers, went up against the Burning Ember division and emerged victorious.
Following the Clone Wars, in 19 BBY, Cadet Laurita Tohm recollected the engagement of Gentis and the clones against the Separatist division as the commander spoke to him and hundreds of other graduating Imperial officers on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.
