The Confiscation Authority was the governmental body that was in control of the impounds on various Republic prison worlds and directed by the Overseer of Prison Worlds. Each prison world had its own branch of the Confiscation Authority, which oversaw the process of impounding the goods obtained during criminal investigations and arrests at the various Confiscation Stations.
