Coruscant Energy Commission

The Coruscant Energy Commission was a regulatory body that was responsible for oversight of energy recharge prices on the planet Coruscant. During the five years that followed the Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, energy prices per parajoule on Coruscant rose on average by 50% a year, which allowed energy companies operating the world to earn vast profits and caused the members of the Commission became trillionaires.
