Department of Imperial Justice

The Department of Imperial Justice was a bureaucratic department of the Galactic Empire that was active during the formative years of the new Imperial government. During this time, the Department and the Imperial Navy were both interested in seeking funding for a warship that specialized in seizing operations.

Both branches believed in the usefulness of such a starship that was capable of capturing smugglers, pirates, and dissidents for public trial. The program was approved and after a development cycle of three years, the Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser was launched.
